Foam Ear Plugs

Foam Ear Plugs are one of the most common forms of Hearing Protection. They are cheap, easy to make, easy to get in different sizes and shapes, easy to use and easy to dispense. As a result, many people now wear these every day at work. If you work in an area where the noise is above what is comfortable or loud enough to make conversations difficult then you should be wearing a hearing protector. If you wait until you notice that your hearing has gone a bit, then it’s too late. Hearing is not replaceable, and you should be doing everything and anything in your power to ensure that it stays for as long as possible! Custom Ear Plugs are another great option too.

If you are working then your employees have to provide you with adequate hearing protection, or they will get into a lot of trouble. Foam Ear lugs cost under 70 dollars for 500 pairs, and they last for a long time. At my work, we have 3 different sets of ear plugs which people can wear, which are dispensed by winding a little knob or handle. When you get to work you wind the handle and get a set, and put them on. They are easy to put in; easy to pull out and at the end of the day you can throw them out.

I would suggest that you take the time to find a set of Foam Ear Plugs which are comfortable. This will be based on the size of your ear hole, and the shape of it. Smaller people prefer ear plugs which are smaller, whilst the bigger people like big ear plugs. Be sure not to put ear plugs in your ear that are too small though, or you will have a hard time pulling them out. Likewise, wearing ear plugs that are too big will cause issues because the noise won’t get blocked out properly.

If you are working in a very noisy environment, foam ear plugs can be combined with a good set of Ear Muffs, and you will find the level of noise will drop considerably. Alternatively, you can try a set of Electronic Hearing Protection. These use small electronic devices to remove loud noises, or to bring them down to a level which isn’t harmful to the human ears. At the end of the day though the Foam Ear Plugs are foolproof, and you aren’t too worried if you lose or drop them!

They are by far the cheapest and easiest method of hearing protection. Wearing ear muffs for extended periods often makes your head feel a bit odd, and they are large and hot in the heat too. Ear Plugs are hardly noticed, especially when you have worn them for years anyway. I got used to wearing them very quickly, and with the soft Foam Ear Plugs that are on the market today you shouldn’t have any issues getting something which is comfortable. They also don’t limit any movement like ear muffs do, which is a very handy option when you are working quickly and with regular head movements.
